Belt Test Information
The schedule for the upcoming belt test
is can be found on our Home Page and is also posted at the school. The schedule is based on CURRENT belt rank/color - before the test. Make-up
testing will be scheduled for the following Friday during regular class times

file of the promotion application (you will need Adobe Acrobat). We also have copies available at the school. We are asking that
you complete and return these applications to the school with your
payment by the Wednesday before the test . In an effort to be a little more "green," we now have a place for you to check if you DO want a certificate printed for the student. For some a certificate of promotion is important; for others, not so much. Please be sure to check this box and we'll have a certificate printed for you the week following the test.
These applications are important - they help us have belts
and certificates ready for those who complete their test
successfully. Applications are also used to promote students in the computer to be ready for the next test. Applications will, of course, still be accepted at the time of your scheduled belt test.
Remember that sparring (for orange belt ranks and higher) and one-steps are also a part of the belt testing process but are completed in class in the week prior to testing. Please be sure to attend a sparring class to complete this element of the test.
All
students should have the "flag" patch as a part of their proper uniform.
These
are available at the school for $2.50 plus tax. These should be
affixed to the uniform on the left side, just over the heart.
We ask that all accounts be
in good standing or have established payment arrangements made prior to
the date of the test.

also be there during the tests on Saturday and will be happy to take
payments, check on your account status, answer questions, etc. as time
permits.
If you have been a student for less than a month prior to the belt test, please check with Mr. Patrick about your eligibility to test. Most students should have four or five black stripes on their belt to indicate their readiness.
If this is your first belt test
with us, you will need to arrive approximately 10 minutes prior to your
scheduled test time so that we can be sure to start on
time. Belt test fees are $30 and include the test, board break, belt, and certificate.
